Setting the jumper to slave fixed the problem. Since there's only 3 pins and one side says "Master" and the other side says "Slave" so I figure that no jumper would mean cable select but that freezes the computer. I tried to setup up as cable-select (no jumper) but I wasn't sure how to set it up as cable-select. There's no instruction came with the adapter. If you install it as a second drive in the lower bay, make sure you set the jumper on the adapter to "Slave". However, I had trouble with the adapter initially. Solved it by hook it up with an IDE to SATA adapter. ![]() Not fault of the seller but this drive has SATA interface therefore, it doesn't work with 2006 Mac Pro 1,1 as it has IDE interface. The only internal blu-ray burner for Mac I can find on Amazon.
